Lilith awakens in a strange and mysterious world…

Earth—a place full of wonder and terror alike. The life around her calls to her for aid, but there is something holding her back. A man wants her as his, and she can’t deny the fact that she wants the same. But life teaches her a valuable lesson early on in her existence: no one can have everything.

Will Lilith’s instinct to care for a vulnerable world outshine her desire for the man she longs for?

Only her enlightening journey through the ages will tell, and only then will she discover her true purpose through the trials of magic and sacrifice.

Anne MacReynold believes our universe holds magic that we have yet to comprehend, and she wields this power of thought in her writing. Not only do her philosophical views weave themselves into her stories, but her life as well. Anne continues to find happiness with her family and animal companions in Alaska, a place that still displays the natural beauty that is the Earth, and a home that allows her to spend time with those she loves. Scenes from the Cerebellum, Now Available Worldwide

August 16, 2019

Scenes from the Cerebellum by Stark Hunter is now available in print and digital editions from retailers worldwide.

Find it from major retailers here, or ask for it at your favorite bookstore.

Scenes from the Cerebellum is the  9th literary work to be released through Mind Tavern. It is easy to say that it is extremely difficult to describe exactly what this book is, was or will be. Maybe the best way to explain these pages is: It’s a “ghost book,” a book about death, the Ultimate Reality in life. The Big Jump. The one event in life we are all waiting for. Included therein is a veritable phalanx of mental and photographic images abounding and manifesting on the pages like hundreds of ectoplasmic filaments, squirming out of my mind in the form of poetic excursions for the curious reader to absorb. As with many poetic works, this one screams the same: This is personal!

Born in Whittier, California in 1952, Stark Hunter was an English teacher for 38 years before retiring from the classroom in 2017. He has also written and published 8 books, which are available on Amazon.com and Barnes & Noble.com: In A Gadda Da Vida, published in 2002, Carnivorous Avenues, a poetry volume published in 2004, Flies, a short novel published in 2005, Private Diaries, a satire published in 2006, Voices From Clark Cemetery, a poetry volume published in 2013, Cocktails For the Soul, a poetry anthology published in 2013, Voices From Mt. Olive Cemetery, a poetry volume published in 2018, and Digested by the Dust, another poetry anthology, published in 2018.

Mr. Hunter is also a published photographer, having one of his photographs included in the book, Photography Vibes, Best of Edition in 2008.

Fourteen of Mr. Hunter’s poems from Voices From Clark Cemetery were adopted and set to music by Dr. George Mabry, composer and former conductor of the Nashville Symphony Chorus, for his work, Voices, a musical drama which was performed at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee in 2015.

Mr. Hunter’s poetry works can be perused at Poetrysoup.com, and his photography is on display at JPGMag.Com. Mr. Hunter’s blog site is Stark Hunter’s Mind Tavern@wordpress.com., and his website is www.starkhunter.com.

Mr. Hunter is married with two daughters, a granddaughter, and resides in Chino Hills, California.

Eight Acres and a Cow, Now Available Worldwide

June 10, 2019

Part memoir, part historical fiction, Eight Acres and a Cow is a story of family, Ohio, and the perseverance of working-class people during the Great Depression.

Find it from major retailers here, or ask for it at your favorite bookstore.

Carol was a mountain girl and wanted to stay that way, but Daddy had to find work. So, despite misgivings, the Richardson family cranked up the 1936 Dodge and headed for Ohio where the jobs were. They camped overnight by the side of the road and peed in the woods in every state they crossed. After two days and 500 miles, they pulled in front of a sorry-looking brick house on Leap Road in Hilliard, Ohio. It seemed even worse than they’d feared.

But Ohio had surprises — many good, some mysterious, a few scary, and a couple sad. The family bumped along in the Leap Road house and life got smoother and better as they went. Then Mom and Daddy started whispering secrets, and that brought the biggest surprise of all.

Carol Richardson grew up in Ohio and worked nearly twenty-five years in Washington, DC, as a lead grass-roots organizer for peace and justice groups. As an ordained pastor in the United Methodist Church, she also served congregations both in Ohio and Maryland. Currently, she is retired and living in Columbus, Ohio.

Publishing Announcements — Acclimating to Africa

May 30, 2019

Congratulations to Sharon Bell on the release of her second title, Acclimating to Africa! Sharon continues the adventures of Grace, Peter, and Nathaniel as they learn about the value and strength of family no matter what the setting.

You first met Grace, Peter, and Nathaniel in ADVENTURES IN AFRICA. They are a little ‘”older and wiser” now, having each had a birthday and a few months of African life tucked under their belts. In ACCLIMATING TO AFRICA (MAKING KENYA HOME), they would like to share some valuable lessons they have learned. Like home is where you make it and happiness is a choice. Different is not always the other guy and enough is far less than you might think. And of course, family is FOREVER. You’ll find plenty of whimsy, too, in tales about doting grandparents, Carl the Chameleon, and our long-necked friends, George and Mable Giraffe.

This story will keep your child engaged with fascinating pictures, exotic experiences, and relatable lessons.

Look for Acclimating to Africa from these retailers, or ask for it from your favorite bookshop!
